There is beauty beyond description in some songs. Lyrics that basically describe nothing and everything.
I really love what Norwegian metal musicians are doing in the last years. They moved from the breakthrough of noise destruction that was black metal to some more intellectual and ambitious kind of music. Solefald, Arcturus, In Vain are some that come to mind.
In the US there are bands like Agalloch, Gallowbraid, Caladan Brood.
You need time to appreciate those bands, a lot of time and I can't find people loving this stuff, but who cares?
It is not even the music that seduces, it's the whole concept of... of... I don't know. I just know that this leaves me speechless.
